Junior Tennis Pathway
Junior Rackets follows the ROG (Red/Orange/Green) Pathway, using specific balls and courts tailored to each child’s age and size.
This system is used worldwide by leading tennis clubs, with all programs maintaining a 1 court, 1 coach, and 6-player ratio.
The ROG pathway uses larger, slower balls to improve ball control for young players, and smaller courts to make movement easier and build confidence in their game.
As children advance and grow, the ball size and court dimensions gradually increase to match their developing skills.
Each Junior Rackets program includes one group lesson per week, running for a total of 8 weeks per season. Programming my be affected by holidays. Please refer to the schedule provided at registration for specific dates.
Options for Every Player
With options for every player, our programs range from beginner to advanced training, ensuring a fit for each child’s journey.
For children aged 8 and under, red balls are slightly larger than standard balls and travel 75% slower, specifically designed for 36-foot courts.
As children progress to ages 9 and 10, they use orange balls, which are the same size as standard balls but travel 50% slower, on 60-foot courts.
Finally, for those aged 11 and older, green balls match the standard size and travel 25% slower, utilized on full-length 78-foot courts.
Growth and Challenge
This approach ensures that children are continuously challenged and engaged as they develop their tennis skills.
